Nonnweiler sings for peace, against injustice and against violence and is involved in the peace movement.
In 2009 he won 3rd place in the singer-songwriter competition of the international guitar festival "Open Strings" in Osnabrück under the direction of Peter Finger. 2010 followed the 1st place at the nationwide creative competition "Songlive", carried out by the 'Sängerakademie Hamburg', under the patronage of Heinz Rudolf Kunze.
